95% of Shabby Apple’s clothing is made in their own factory in Mexico, which means that they have complete control over ensuring excellent working conditions for their employees. The rest of their own-brand clothing is made in a factory in China, which their staff visit to ensure that the conditions are good.
Please note that Shabby Apple cannot guarantee the production conditions for the few items (jewellery and some sweaters etc.) which they by wholesale from other producers.
Shabby Apple help women and communities worldwide by partnering with organisations that give women micro-loans and clean, safe living environments. They are committed to sharing a portion of their profits with non profit partners who fight global poverty and domestic violence, because they believe that helping women helps society to flourish.
They are currently contributing a portion of their profits to the Maya Relief Foundation, whose mission is to empower people with solutions to become self-sufficient and “work their way out of poverty, improve their health, and to insure a better future for their children and their communities.”
